If I had to choose one episode for people to listen to on Halloween with the lights off it would be the classic Suspense episode The House in Cypress Canyon starring Robert Taylor...A young couple find their dream home or have they? What frightening horror exist within the walls of the house!!!! Airing originally December 5th, 1946....

On October 30, 1938 the most famous and notorious radio show of the golden age aired live and caused a stir that rippled through broadcasting for decades. The Mercury Theater on the Air starring the young wonder boy of Theater and Radio, Orson Welles recreated H.G. Wells sci-fi classic War of the Worlds. Reworked to be a simulated live news event it fooled millions of Americans,(most who didn't catch the being of the show which explained), and caught them in the middle of what they thought was the real invasion of Earth by Martians. The "panic broadcast" caused people over the country to take to the streets in fear! CBS received so many calls it shutdown the switchboard. Listen to it here 77 years later It's still a great show!!! An annual Halloween Holiday treat!!!!
Very similar in nature of Inner Sanctum Mysteries, The Mysterious Traveler told stories "strange and terrifying" "that will thrill you and chill you"...Running from 1943-1952 on the Mutual Network...Here is a classic episode.
Starring Cary Grant On a Country Road appeared on Suspense November 11th, 1951...A creepy tale of a couples car breaking down on the open road with a crazy murder on the loose.....
Another Classic episode of Lights Out...The Murder Castle aired August 3rd, 1943...A chilling episode with great sound effects.
Orson Welles and The Mercury Theater do an amazing version of the Bram Stroker classic novel Dracula from July 11, 1938.
