One big claim to fame for the show was that it was Elliott Lewis's first directorial job, Lewis famously was married to Cathy Lewis (My friend Irma) and was Remley on the Phil Harris/Alice Faye Show. A great radio actor, writer, director and producer. His biggest radio fame would come as the producer/director of Suspense during it's considered best era of the 1950's..
The show also had the great writing team Morton Fine and David Fiendkin. Lewis insisted on keeping the writing tone gritty and real and unglitzy to show America a different side of the city. It does come across as mix between Dragnet and Phillip Marlowe. It definitely had a unique voice unlike any other show of the time.
This is a typical well written episode called the Harold Clark Murder Case and show cases Thor's narration style perfectly. Enjoy!
